Hot Bites- September is prime time for Tassie Trumpeter like this one landed last Sunday. Snappers continue to be the highlight in our waters topped off with Narooma's Paul Stevenson's 7.9kg model. Barracouta and seals ruined the party for many on Tuesday on the back of some excellent fishing on Monday. John Singleton landed a Tassie Trumpeter. Mr Hooker went wide to find one 30kg Yellowfin Tuna. Water temps on the edge are 14 degrees and murky.

Fish Lizard Island aboard the "Hotshot"

Due to a late cancellation 'Hotshot" is now available for the 2010 Lizard Island Tournament which runs from the 16th-23rd of October 2010. It's $4900 pp based on a 4 way share. Price includes the fishing, entry fees, food and alcohol. It's 7 days fishing plus a day before and a day after the tournament on the vessel. Contact Ian "Wobbles" Ford for details. The session is for those already breaming with lures and will cover lure selection, cast & retrieve techniques, knots, leader choice and some great tips to improve your fishing for this species
